Astounding place to stay while in Kansas City. Clean enough fairly good rooms, really awesome staff, very decent location. I loved the room and climate control, a seating area and a writing desk.

We loved location and drinks, the hotel had absolutely everything we needed. Central heating, pay television and a sitting area were available in our suite. The food in the bar and the service. In addition, Wi-Fi was useful👍

We just lost our mother and I wanted to take my Handicapped brother, 15yr old nephew and my sister to K.C. just to get away from it all. I had just been there 2 weeks prior and loved my stay. I realized quickly that it would accomodate all 4 of us. Loved the free breakfast, happy hour, location, the 2 flat screens & fridge. Most importantly so did my family.
The first visit 2 weeks prior I had a shuttle driver that was not so nice and left us standing there trying to get into the shuttle. The hotel did give us a free movie and snacks when we complained to them.

Loved the breakfast and workout room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The suits give you more space to relax. Staff was very helpful...my key would not open workout room...told front desk and within minutes a maintenance man was fixing the door!
Elevators were extremely slow and there was not enough room in the buffet line to accommodate large groups of people.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean.
What I did not like is that there are only two computers available for use by hotel guests. This is not enough. To complicate matters, one was being monopolized by children playing games. It seemed they never left. They relayed one another to bring in food & drinks and eat in front of the screen ! I did not like this. I did complain about it to the staff explaining that, in my opinion, a "computer room" is different from a "game room". My comments were ignored. I did not like being ignored. I conclude that the hotel is more interested in selling its paid wireless service than providing inclusive, effective internet access to business customers. I do not agree with this policy.

good double room suite, good breakfast
non smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke/usage, found discarded empty cigarette package on floor under end table - very annoying.

Great location. Staff was very friendly. They went out of their way to speak to the guests.
The maid service was the only issue I had. My room was not cleaned at all during my stay and no fresh towels were brought to the room.

The location of getting to the shopping plaza in Kansas City
My friend and I traveled 3 hours to Kansas City for some shopping and upon arrival we were expecting to check into our room to freshen up. Unknowingly we were told that we would not be allowed to check into our hotel until 7:30 because of the complementary drinks. Being that we were under aged, we would have been carded regardless. All we wanted to do was check into our room and were not allowed to do so. Returning at 7, we asked to check in again and was also denied access until 7:30. By the time we had gotten checked in and back from dinner, the facilities (such as the pool) were closed. We were both disappointed and extremely angered at the way the staff had handled the situation. Paying over $200 for a room that we only spent less than 12 hours in. Horrible staff service.

I love the 2 room suites that all Embassy Suites have. Works well with our young kids. I also always like the happy hour and breakfast that are included.
I felt like the location wasn't as close to the plaza as I thought. Still not far but with little kids I didn't think they would do well walking there. I also felt like this location could use some updating. I also would have liked help getting our baggage up to our room. I had a young one in the stroller and my husband had to self park (since that was the only option) and it was hard to get in with all the luggage and my children.
